SelfFirst Terms of Service

Next4AI Technology Limited ("Next4AI," "we") asks you (the User) to read this SelfFirst Terms of Service ("Agreement") before registering or using the SelfFirst application ("Service"). Please read carefully and choose to accept or not accept. Unless you accept all terms, you have no right to register or use the Service. Creating an anonymous account or continuing to use the Service means you accept this Agreement and agree to be bound by it.

This Agreement may be updated from time to time. The updated terms supersede the original terms upon publication on this page. If you do not accept an update, stop using the Service immediately. Continued use means you accept the modified terms.

Account Registration

You must create a SelfFirst account before using the Service. SelfFirst uses an anonymous account. There is no email, password, SMS, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In. You must enter a nickname and we must successfully create the account on our servers before you can continue to Screen Time permission. The same device secret returns the same account.

You are responsible for this device and for how you use blocking. Do not use the Service to control someone else’s device without their authorization. Family Controls here is individual authorization for your own iPhone.

Account ownership of identifiers we issue remains with Next4AI; you receive a right to use the Service, which belongs only to the initial registrant on that device secret. We may change how accounts are created based on product needs. You may delete the account in Settings. Deletion is described in the Privacy Policy. It does not cancel an Apple subscription.

You are responsible for keeping this device and session secure. Any activity that occurs through your account after registration will be considered your responsibility. Notify us if you believe someone else is using your account.

Service Content

The specific contents of the Service shall be provided by Next4AI according to the actual situation, including selecting apps to block, applying from an in-app chat, temporarily unblocking for a duration you choose, a scorecard based on on-device events and numbers you enter, and related focus tools. Next4AI may change the Services from time to time.

We do not provide medical, mental-health, or parenting advice. The scorecard is an estimate, not official Apple Screen Time minutes.

Permissions Required

Including but not limited to (see the Privacy Policy for details):

• Screen Time / Family Controls: required to select apps and apply shields. Tokens stay on device. We do not upload Screen Time raw reports.
• Notifications: required. Local notifications remind you to open SelfFirst from the intercept screen. Remote push (APNs) may send service messages after you allow notifications.
• Network / cellular data: needed to create the anonymous account, send feedback, check subscriptions, register a push token, and load optional research pages.

SelfFirst does not need camera, photo library, or microphone for its core blocking features.

User Privacy Information Protection

When you register or use the Service, you may need to submit information necessary to provide the Service (nickname, device secret, and technical identifiers as described in the Privacy Policy). If information is incomplete, you may be unable to use the Service or may be restricted.

It is Next4AI’s policy to respect the privacy of users. We will take technical and other necessary measures to protect personal information we collect and to prevent disclosure, damage, or loss. If any of the foregoing occurs or we discover a risk, we will take prompt remedial action.

We may use personal information to send important notices (including software updates and changes to this Agreement), to conduct internal audit and analysis to improve products, to review user information under this Agreement, as described in the Privacy Policy, and as required by applicable law. We will not use personal information for other purposes without your prior consent, except as stated in the Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for disclosure caused by you informing others of your device or account, disclosure you make to a third party, disclosure required by law, or disclosure due to hacker attack, computer virus, or other force majeure.

Subscriptions

The free plan may block a limited number of apps (currently one). Paid auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly and yearly) are sold through the App Store. Price is the price Apple shows, including local currency. There is no free trial.

Payment, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple. Confirming a purchase charges your Apple ID. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions after purchase. Refunds follow Apple’s policy. Deleting the SelfFirst account does not stop billing.

Content Specification

Content you submit in the Service (including nickname and in-app feedback) must be content you have the legal right to submit. You bear legal liability if such content infringes others.

You shall not create, upload, or transmit content that: opposes constitutional principles; endangers national security; incites hatred or discrimination; spreads obscenity, violence, or crime; insults or slanders others; or is otherwise prohibited by law. You shall not submit spam, harassment, others’ personal data, or commercial advertising in feedback.

Next4AI may review or delete violating content and may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts. You may appeal to support@next4.ai. Next4AI will review appeals at its reasonable judgment.

Account Management

You may delete personal information stored for the Service as described in the Privacy Policy. When relevant information is deleted, data stored in the system will also be deleted; that risk is borne by you.

If you violate this Agreement, Next4AI may interrupt or terminate the Service to your account after notice where practicable, and may reclaim identifiers as needed for security or legal reasons.

Data Storage

Next4AI is not responsible if you fail to delete or save relevant data in the Service. We may decide maximum storage periods according to the actual situation. You may keep your own records. If you cease using the Service or the Service terminates, we may delete your data from the server as described in the Privacy Policy and are not obliged to return data after termination except as required by law.

Risk Acceptance

You understand and agree that you are responsible for actions under your account. Blocking depends on Apple Screen Time APIs and device state (including lock screen and system limits). We do not warrant that a block will always start or end at the exact second.

You understand and agree that Next4AI may change, suspend, terminate, or cancel all or part of the Service due to business development, at your own risk as permitted by law.

Intellectual Property

The SelfFirst name, UI, software, and related content (including but not limited to code, interface design, text, and graphics) are owned by Next4AI or its licensors, except where you lawfully owned content before using the Service. You may not copy the App or our marks without permission. Apple, App Store, and Screen Time are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Legal Liability

If Next4AI finds or receives a report that you violated this Agreement, we may review or delete related content and, depending on seriousness, warn or suspend the account, and inform you of the result where practicable.

You shall indemnify Next4AI and its affiliates against claims, demands, or losses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising from your breach of this Agreement, to the extent permitted by law.

Force Majeure and Other Exemptions

The Service may be interrupted due to force majeure and other risk factors. Force majeure includes unforeseeable, insurmountable, and unavoidable events with a major impact, including natural disasters, epidemics, wars, government actions, Apple platform changes, network failure, and system maintenance. Next4AI will try to restore the Service but, to the extent permitted by law, is not liable for losses beyond what law requires.

Like most Internet services, the Service may be affected by user reasons, network quality, malware on your device, or security issues. You should protect your device.

The Service is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, Next4AI is not liable for indirect, consequential, punitive, incidental, or special damages, including lost profits. Next4AI’s total liability for the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid for SelfFirst subscriptions in the three months before the claim (if any), or, if none, the fees (if any) paid to Next4AI for the Service.

Next4AI assumes no liability for quality defects of services provided free of charge, except as required by mandatory law.

Changes, Interruption, Termination

Given the nature of network services, you agree that Next4AI may change, interrupt, or terminate part or all of the Service (including paid features). Where required, we will notify you and, where practicable, provide an equivalent alternative.

We may change, interrupt, or terminate the Service without liability to you or any third party (except as mandatory law requires) if: you violate law or this Agreement; a competent authority requires it; or it is necessary for safety or other necessary circumstances.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

Others

Next4AI reminds you to pay attention to provisions that limit liability and restrict rights. Minors should read this Agreement with a guardian.

The validity, interpretation, and dispute settlement of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes shall first be resolved by friendly negotiation; failing that, the parties agree to the jurisdiction of the People’s Court of Pudong New Area, Shanghai, unless a mandatory consumer law in your place of residence requires otherwise.

If a term is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid and binding.
